UNION, NJ – Union firefighters received some much-appreciated safety supplies from a local office supply store on Tuesday.

The Staples store in the Millburn Mall at 2333 Vauxhall Road made a donation of boxes of disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer.

“We are extremely thankful that Zahed and his employees would think of us during these uncertain times," said Union Fire Chief Mike Scanio.  "These items will be put to good use keeping our firefighters safe and healthy so we can continue to protect the community.”

“Staples wants to give back to and be a part of the community,” said store manager Zahedul Haque.  “We want to help our first responders, who have always been there for us.  We want to be there for them.”
