UNION, NJ - Media Day for "Union's Got Talent" finalists was held Saturday, August 1. Performers were present discuss their upcoming performance.  The performers are:

M. Breeze (Marcel Smith) – Mr. Smith works as an engineer, remixing songs, and sings every day.  He will be singing and playing “Lay Me Down” by Sam Smith.

Keisha Natalee Cole - Ms. Cole sings gospel professionally.  She will be singing "Peace Be Still”  by Vanessa Bell Armstrong.

Jaden and Ellis Foreman – “We are JE”, will be performing a tap dancing number.

The Jefferson 5 - Samuel Darby (saxophone), Jessica Edmond (bass), Jonathan Rivera (drums), Nick  Elker (trombone), Chris Kakkalis (saxophone).  Mr. Darby and Ms. Edmond will be sixth graders at Burnet Middle School.  Mr. Elker and Mr. Kakkalis will be sixth graders at Kawameeh Middle School.  The jazz quartet will be playing Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World”. 

Bob Kalkus – Mr. Kalkus works at Union High School.  He will be singing and playing “Time of Your Life” by Green Day.

Alyssa Muniz – Ms. Muniz currently performs cabaret in New York City while auditioning for shows on Broadway.  Ms. Muniz will be singing “Elastic Heart” by Sia.

Chioma Ossai – Ms. Ossai is a Music and Education major at Montclair State College and sings in the choir there.  She will be singing Etta James’ “At Last”.

Eboni Pearce – Ms. Pearce is a Rutgers-Newark student studying music and theater.  She will be singing and playing an original song, “Roses”.

Isabelle Pena – Ms. Pena will be an 8th grader at Kawameeh Middle School.  She will be singing “On My Own” from Les Miserables.

Andon Perdue – Mr. Perdue would like to someday be a hockey player.  He will be performing “All of Me” by John Legend.

Tiffany Phan – Ms. Phan will be a 6th grader at Burnet Middle School.  She will be playing the violin to Kevin Keegan’s “Waltz”.

Cassius Reeves & Isaiah Walker – Both Mr. Reeves and Mr. Walker will be 10th graders at Union High School and both are members of Union’s football team.  They will be performing as the dancers “Unique Freaks”. 

Jason Rivera – Mr. Rivera will be an 11th grader at Union High School and is involved in the musical theater program there.  He is a comedian performing “Goose MCs”.

Brianna Terrezza – Ms. Terrezza will be a student at Kawameeh Middle School.  She will be performing “Let It Go” from the movie “Frozen”.

Alexandra Velazquez – Ms. Velazquez would like to be a famous pop star.  She will be singing “Reflection” from the movie “Mulan”.

Angela Zhang – Ms. Zhang will be a 5th grader at Jefferson in September.  She will be playing  “Fur Elise” by Beethoven. 

"Union's Got Talent" show will be held on Saturday, September 26 at 7:00 p.m.  The show is produced by and benefitting the Union High School Performing Arts Company, the Township of Union Education Foundation, Inc. and the Douglas Michael Krueger Scholarship Fund, Inc.
