UNION, NJ – Congressman Donald M. Payne, Jr. (NJ-10) hosted a grand opening event for his new congressional district office at 1455 Liberty Avenue in Hillside on Friday.
The Hillside office is dedicated to assisting Union County residents and businesses in Hillside, Roselle, Roselle Park, Union, Linden, and Rahway with a range of federal matters. Services provided at the office include: helping constituents determine and recover Social Security and Medicare benefits; assisting grant seekers with federal funding resources and opportunities; helping veterans, service members, and their families access the benefits and care they have earned; assisting with immigration and non-immigration visas; and helping students with financial aid options and internship and scholarship opportunities.
“As your congressman, it is my priority not only to ensure your voices are represented in Congress, but to serve and assist you in any way I can,” said Congressman Payne, Jr. “This new office will make it easier for Union County residents to get the services they need and deserve from their government, so that they can prosper and thrive. I look forward to hearing your comments, ideas, and views as I continue to represent you in Congress and work to expand opportunities for our community.”
Union Mayor Manuel Figueiredo and Deputy Mayor Suzette Cavadas were among those who attended the event. "It was great meeting with residents from throughout the county at the Open House for Congressman Donald Payne Jr.'s new Union County office," said Figueiredo. "I thank the congressman for always working tirelessly on behalf of his constituents and making his services more accessible to the Union County residents through the Hillside office."
