The Junior League of Elizabeth-Plainfield is now accepting lightly used prom dresses, formal wear, shoes and accessories for its annual "Glass Slipper Boutique" that will begin with the "preview night" on Friday, April 1, 7-9 p.m. and all day Saturday, April 2, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Dresses are being accepted now through March 21 and will be sold for $15 to $25 at The Jumble Store.
The "Glass Slipper Boutique" is a special formal wear sale held at The Jumble Store every year so that young women have the opportunity to purchase a prom or special occasion dress at an affordable price. The Junior League of Elizabeth-Plainfield owns and operates The Jumble Store, a non-profit thrift store, located at 110 Walnut Ave. in Cranford.
All Jumble Store proceeds benefit the community projects of the Junior Elizabeth-Plainfield, a nonprofit organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. It is a group of women that are catalysts for lasting community change and is exclusively educational and charitable.
