UNION, NJ - Mayor Suzette Cavadas issued a CodeRED alert Wednesday afternoon with an update about Winter Storm Toby.

Cavadas said our area is still projected to get accumulations of 6-10 inches of snow.  "As we move into the heaviest parts of the storm, I want to remind everyone to keep vehicles off the streets to help first responders get to those in need and to help our Department of Public Works in their efforts to plow curb to curb."  Cavadas said municipal lots are available for use.

Cavadas also said garbage collection is canceled for Thursday and will be picked up on Monday, March 26.

"We thank you for your cooperation as we endure what we hope is the final storm of the season," said Cavadas.
