Washington’s Student Council hosts many fundraisers throughout the year, including monthly school stores, Valentine candy-grams, bake sales and dances.  The Council has raised money for various charities and causes including victims of Hurricane Sandy, Relay for Life, and local families in need.  The Student Council has also purchased new equipment and materials for the school.

Students create ideas for fundraising and implement them by helping in the organization to promote their causes.  "I was so excited to win,” said Student Council President Christopher Diaz.  “It felt like it took forever to do my speech, the one thing I want to do is make a soccer field"
