UNION, NJ – Township officials are reminding residents that the State of Emergency is still in effect.  Unless absolutely necessary, no one should be driving.  All emergency resources are currently being utilized to combat the winter storm conditions. If your vehicle poses a significant threat to snow removal/plowing operations, you will be ticketed.

Again Township officials are asking residents to help the fire department by adopting the fire hydrant closest to their home and keep it free from snow during the winter.

The National Weather Service has updated its forecast for Union County, which will now receive a total between 18-24 inches of snow before it ends tomorrow.

Additionally, the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders urges residents to stay off the roads if possible, and exercise caution while removing snow.
