UNION COUNTY, NJ - Union County Freeholders and Union residents Vernell Wright and Mohamed S. Jalloh presented a resolution to Dasia “DasiaVu” Edmond congratulating her on officially publishing two books.

The Freeholders were joined by her mother, Belinda Salley.  The 12-year-old Burnet Middle School student released “Uniquely Made: ‘Girls Don’t Play Football’” in 2016 and “Hair Chronicles: ‘The Struggles of Natural Hair’” this summer.

In “Uniquely Made”, Edmond tells the story of how, after constantly being told that “girls don’t play football,” she not only made the Pop Warner Team, but played for three years.  Her second book, "Hair Chronicles ‘The Struggles of Natural Hair'" is published with Enidbookscorp.
