BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - The Union Catholic girls tennis team swept the singles matches to clinch its first victory of the season with a 3-2 triumph over Gov. Livingston on Monday in Berkeley Heights.

Sadie Abood, Maddy Abood and Annie Hartnett all won their singles matches in straight sets as Union Catholic improved its season record to 1-2.

The victory was also first for first-year head coach Rick LaBelle, and it avenged a 3-2 loss to Gov. Livingston last week.

The Vikings are back in action on Wednesday vs. Cranford at Kramer Manor Park at 4 p.m.
