Chair Yoga

UNION, NJ - Check out Union Senior Center's Chair Yoga days.

Beginning on Monday, Sept. 10 from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m., join yoga instructor Kathleen Leary.  Yoga sessions will be held every Monday from then until October 22, excluding October 8th. 

Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting on a chair, or standing using a chair for support. While increasing strength, chair yoga reduces the strain on joints and muscles. 

For more details call the Union Senior Center at 908.851.5290.  The Senior Center is located at 968 Bonnel Court.

Oakland Avenue to be Closed for Paving on Tuesday, Oct. 16

UNION, NJ – Union police are advising residents and drivers of a major road closure anticipated for next week.

The entire length of Oakland Avenue, from Vauxhall Road to Stuyvesant Avenue, will be closed for paving from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16.

UNION, NJ – Union High School gymnast Jasmine Jourdian has been selected TAPinto Union’s September Female Athlete of the Month.

Jourdian placed sixth on bars at the Cougar classic and qualified as an All Around for State Sectionals.  She placed first All Around in four meets this year.
