Friends of the Union Public Library Film Showing

The Friends of the Union Public Library are hosting a showing of the film American Carny: True Tales from the Circus Sideshow on Thursday, November 1st at 7 p.m.  The film is a documentary of the world of circus freaks, fire eaters, human blockheads, magicians, contortionists, professional lunatics, and much, much more.  The film will be followed by complimentary refreshments at the Dava Latin Fusion Restaurant at 1020 Stuyvesant Avenue in Union, where attendees can enjoy conversation with Nick Basile, the film’s director and producer, who is originally from Union.

Reservations for the event are required by October 25th and will be limited to 50 people, 21 and older.  Please call (908) 377-7949 to sign up.
