UNION, NJ - Face painting, sand art, and family friendly activities await goblins and ghosts, princesses and super heroes on Halloween, October 31, in Union Center.

The location of the Halloween festivities in Union Center is yet to be determined.  In addition, prior to Halloween, the Union Recreation Department is celebrating with a Spooktacular Saturday jam-packed with activities throughout the day in Vauxhall and at Rabkin Park on October 26.

  • Annual Big Halloween Trunk or Treat from 1:00 p.m. - 4: 00 p.m. in the Jefferson School parking lot, 155 Hilton Ave, Vauxhall.


  • All Hallow’s Eve-ning from 3:00 - 9: 00 p.m. at Rabkin Park, 1 Swanstrom Place East.

The Annual Big Halloween Truck or Treat will feature over 30 vehicles, and a prize will be awarded for the Best Decorated Vehicle. 

The inaugural All Hallow’s Eve-ning will feature pre-movie activities starting at 3:00 p.m. such as inflatables, carnival games, pumpkin painting, mask crafts and more. The event will end with a showing of a medley of Halloween themed cartoon specials, featuring characters from Toy Story, Shrek, Tom and Jerry, and Casper. Roaming judges throughout the night will be looking for the best costumes for the costume contest. The finalists and the winner will be announced before the movie at 6:15 p.m.

Kids and families are encouraged to attend all events in costumes.
