On Sunday, April 22, the Union Township Historical Society will host a trip to Tappan, NY, for brunch at the '76 House (circa 1686), the oldest continuously operating tavern in the state.  There will also be tours of that building (which served as a prison for Benedict Arnold's co-conspirator), of the DeWint House (which George Washington used as his headquarters), and other Tappantown Historical Society sites.

The cost--which includes transportation, brunch, admission to the historic sites, and snacks--is $75.  The 31-passenger bus will depart at 10 am from the municipal parking lot across the street from Burnet Middle School, 1000 Caldwell Avenue, Union.  It will return at 5 pm.

Please send reservation and check (payable to UTHS) to Marie Canarelli, 885 Townley Avenue, Union, NJ 07083.  Include contact information with your reservation.  For more information, please email mcanarelli1331@ aol.com or call (908) 687-7468.
