UNION, NJ – Residents and neighbors came together to celebrate the season and enjoy the festivities at Union’s Winter Wonderland Friday and Saturday.

Saturday began with a free showing of the movie “Frozen 2” at the Union Theater.  Over 300 people enjoyed the show, free popcorn and a drink.  "The movie was so great," said ten-year old Alyssa.  "I loved it so much."

Free ice skating on a synthetic rink with live music and “Frozen” characters greeted visitors both days.  At the Welcome Station at El Chingon, free face painting and arts and crafts were available (with a quick warm-up) before heading out for a free horse and buggy ride.  The event, hosted by the Union Special Improvement District and the Recreation Department, included pictures with Santa at Here’s the Story Bookstore.  There was ice carving demonstrations, a live nativity and free hot chocolate and cookies.

The annual tree lighting ceremony took place Saturday night with photos with Santa inside Town Hall.
