UNION, NJ – Union’s Recreation Department is working on a summer lineup of programs. In July plans will include interactive virtual programs, covering topics such as drawing, chess, science and computer coding .
The Union Recreation Department said they are making plans for enriching and exciting activities this summer and will be announcing details soon, including the age groups, cost and the required materials.
A Wellness Mini-Camp is also being planned which would be held in-person in August. The program will meet twice a week for two to three hours per session and focus on the physical and mental wellbeing of participants by allowing them to exercise and socialize in a safe and supervised way. Program details including the health, hygiene and social distancing policies are to be determined and will be shared later in June. Summer tennis and golf lessons are being planned as well.
“The Union Recreation Department is looking forward to offering these programs and hopes that it will bring a sense of normalcy to the summer,” read a release from the township.
