UNION, NJ The front grounds of the Union Municipal Building were transformed for Halloween as it became the setting for various scarecrows, part of the 2019 Halloween Scarecrow Contest, hosted by the Union Recreation Department.

Winners were chosen based on the number of votes from attendees at the All Hallow’s Eve-ning event, hosted on Saturday, October 26 at Rabkin Park.  Over 200 votes were cast.

“All of our entries were creative, and the community had a great time voting for their favorites,” stated Robert Cowper, Union Recreation Department Superintendent. “We hope to have more families and businesses participate next year. It’s never too early to start planning your scarecrow.”
