UNION, NJ – Union's Hispanic Heritage Celebration, a soul-moving, rhythmic event, is coming back to town on September 15.
One of New Jersey’s most diverse towns, “Union prides itself on celebrating the heritage of its residents while providing an educational and entertaining experience for those from other cultures”, according a social media post from the township.
The day-long celebration will feature various cultural groups, local Latin food vendors, and dance performances. The event will run from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. in front of Town Hall.
The event will feature local Latin food vendors, El Lechon De Negron and the Mexi-Boys, and the Magic Fountain Union Creamery will feature their new Coco Frio (non-dairy ice cream), Piña colada, and Virgin Margarita specialties.
Cultural performances and live music will be performed by Otto Show Dance Studio, Peruvians for Progress Inc. Cultural Dance, Viva Flamenco, David Cedeno Orchestra, and others.
Arts and crafts activities will include DIY Day of the Dead Masks, grab and go masks, themed coloring pages, and free face painting.
