Hy-Way Bowl, at 1731 Rt. 22 West, was built in the 1950s.

Another alley, The Garden State Bowling Alley on Mill Road was also built in the 1950s.  It was torn down during the construction of the interchange of Route 78 and the Garden State Parkway.

The Four Seasons Bowling Alley, located at what is now Costco’s parking lot, closed in 1998.  Four young musicians called the Four Lovers decided to adopt the name of the bowling alley after a one night gig there.  That group had 60 Top 100 hits spanning 32 years, are in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and spawned the Broadway hit “Jersey Boys”.  In 2008, the Township renamed a portion of West Chestnut Street “Four Seasons Lane” in honor of the group.
