UNION, NJ - The Union Township Historical Society will host open houses at the Caldwell Parsonage, 909 Caldwell Avenue, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 9, and Sunday, February 23.  In commemoration of Black History Month, two special exhibits will be on display:  

  • "Veterans of Vauxhall," curated by Jon Rosser of the Vauxhall Historical Society, Inc.; and

  • UTHS memorabilia of Eulace Peacock, a UHS track and field star, who defeated Olympic gold medalist Jesse Owens in several collegiate and AAU competitions.

Visitors may also collect three of Union County's historic trading cards, have their National Park Service Passports and/or Union County Passport booklets stamped--the Caldwell Parsonage, part of the Crossroads of the American Revolution National Heritage Area, is an official cancellation location of the NPS.
