UNION, NJ - A presentation for parents in all Union district schools about Rachel's Challenge will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 7:00 p.m. in the Union High School auditorium.

Rachel Joy Scott was the first person killed in the Columbine High School shooting on April 20, 1999.  Rachel’s vision to start a chain reaction of kindness and compassion is the basis for the Rachel’s Challenge mission: Making schools safer, more connected places where bullying and violence are replaced with kindness and respect; and where learning and teaching are awakened to their fullest.

Each day, 160,000 students skip school for fear of being bullied.  Parents are invited to hear Rachel's story and learn how to start a chain reaction of kindness.
