UNION, NJ – As of noon Monday, the number of positive cases of COVID-19 in Union has risen to 196, an increase of 138 since last Wednesday.  There have been no reported deaths in Union from the virus.  

The count in New Jersey, as of 2:00 p.m. Monday according to the New Jersey Department of Health’s website, is 16,636, an increase of 12,234 since the count from Wednesday, March 25.  The death toll in New Jersey is at 198, up 136 since Wednesday.

Union County now has 1,213 cases.   Bergen County shows the highest incidence of positive COVID-19 cases with 2,482.

Most people who have been tested for COVID-19 have tested negative.  According to the Department of Health’s website, 25,224 were tested and found to be negative.
