UNION, NJ — Sixteen more Union residents have tested positive for COVID-19 since yesterday, bringing the number of documented cases in Union to 1,519, Mayor Michele Delisfort said.
As of Thursday morning, New Jersey recorded another 2,633 new positive tests for a total of at least 118,652 total positive results, with 7,228 deaths since the first positive test was announced on March 4th. In Union County, there are at least 12,578 confirmed cases. There have been 690 deaths in Union County.
According to information reported by Long Term Care facilities to the Communicable Disease Service at the New Jersey Department of Health, the following facilities in Union have reported positive COVID-19 cases and deaths:
- *South Mountain Rehab and LTC - 55 cases; 9 deaths
- *Cornell Care and Rehabilitation Center - 43 cases; 12 deaths
