UNION, NJ – In an email to parents, the Union School District said they are considering a change in the 2019-2020 school calendar “due to the current circumstances.”

The proposed changes include shortening Spring Break to only include Good Friday, April 10, and Monday, April 13.  Remote learning would resume Tuesday, April 14.

The four unused snow days would be incorporated into the calendar.  The school year would then conclude on June 12, instead of the original date of June 24.

Middle School promotions would be held on June 10 and June 11, and Union High School graduation would take place on Friday, June 12.

The calendar would remain in place whether the school year concludes with traditional instruction or online learning.

The message asks parents whether they agree with the proposed changes.  The survey deadline is Monday, March 30, at 4:00 p.m.
