UNION, NJ - More than 500 people visited the Union Farmers Market on opening day Thursday, many of them drawn by the Cousins Maine Lobster food truck.
The most popular food attraction, the lobster truck saw long lines throughout the evening, sometimes with a wait as long as one-and-a-half hours. Some market visitors came from as far away as South Jersey to purchase the famous lobster rolls.
A coffee truck, Yes, Coffee, provided direct from Columbia coffee and Union's Jammed Up Bakery sold human and dog treats. Other food trucks included Latin Bites, Hadez, and Eddie Dee's Global Eats. Alstede Farms provided fresh fruit and vegetables. Cousins Maine Lobster truck is scheduled to revisit the Union Farmers Market on July 9, August 27, and September 3.
