UNION, NJ - The Union Public Library is working with Raphael's Life House, a resident program providing shelter and support for homeless mothers ages 18-21 and their babies, to collect donations.

All donations must be new.  Items will be collected March 1 through April 4.  Donations must be new.  Items needed to assemble a complete new room for a mom and baby include:

  • Bed-in-a-bag (twin size)
  • Towel/wash cloth for mom
  • Crib sheet
  • Towel/wash cloth for baby
  • Nightgown for mom (M-XXL)
  • Robe for mom (M-XL)
  • Receiving blanket
  • Socks for mom
  • Socks for baby
  • Slippers for mom
  • Bottles (4 oz. and 9 oz.)
  • Diaper bag

Other donations needed include:

  • Diapers/wipes
  • Target gift cards
  • Pacifiers
  • Baby dish-spoon

Donations may be dropped off at the Union Public Library, 1980 Morris Avenue.  Community members are also invited to the library to sort an dpack the donations on Saturday, April 4 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.  Registration is required at 908-851-5450 ext. 3.
