UNION, NJ – It was a beautiful afternoon Sunday for Union’s Second Annual Burgers and Brew for a Cause at Joe’s Place.  A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit small local businesses who have suffered hardships during the pandemic.

Rueben Peraza, Magic Fountain Union Creamery owner and Vice President of Union’s Special Improvement District (SID) said “today was a great event, with lots of folks coming out for a great cause.  Everyone’s having a great time.”

“I’m really excited about our second annual event,” said Fatimah Raymond, Director of the SID.  “Everyone is coming together as a community to support our local economy.”

“We are here to help our local businesses,” said Mayor Michele Delisfort, “and also to celebrate the opening of Joe’s Place.”

“Thank you everyone for coming out to support Union,” said Tim Ambacher, owner of Joe’s Place, who has hosted the event for both years.

“It’s so important that our community continue to support our local businesses, so we can all make it through this pandemic,” added Delisfort.
