UNION, NJ – A Union Rotary meet and greet, an opportunity for prospective new members to take a look at what the Union Rotary is all about, took place last week at BCB Community Bank.
“The purpose of this evening is to learn about Rotary,” said Rotary member Norman Wooley, “where impact starts with our members – people like you who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change in our community, across the globe and in ourselves.
Guests chatted with Union Rotarians about some upcoming events such as Zumba to benefit the Union Food Pantry (date) and the speech contest in June where three scholarships to Union High School students will be awarded.
“BCB is a true community partner that is proud to support and host the Union Rotary Club in its endeavors in giving back to those in need,” said Marie Maguire, Union Branch Manager, BCB Bank. “As a Board Member of the Union Rotary Club, I am honored to work for an institution that not only allows me to participate in club events but encourages it.”
The Union Rotary club meets every Thursday at Suburban Golf Club at 12:15 p.m.
