UNION, NJ – Once again this year, members of Union’s police department paid a very special visit to the Deron School on Thursday to help them celebrate the season and their Harvest Fest.

“A lot of children from the school aren’t able to celebrate a typical Halloween because of the sights and sounds,” said Sgt. Dorothy Mascidlo-Skiper.  “As a Police Department, we want to be sure they can have fun and enjoy the day, so we decided to bring the spirit of Halloween to them.  The smile, laughter and cheering we received made the event priceless.”

The superheroes made their way around the Deron School, as students participated in their Harvest Festival.  Students enjoyed crafts, a photo booth, snacks, the ‘bubble guy’, and, of course, getting to meet some of their favorite heroes.
