UNION, NJ – Washington School students were able to combine their desire to give with their love of football through their recent “Soup-er Bowl” donation drive.

With each can of soup brought into school, students were able to vote for the team they wanted to win the Super Bowl by placing their soup can in their team’s box.

The “Soup-er Bowl” collection was initiated by AAP teacher Lisa Grausso and ran from January 29 through February 9.

The Philadelphia Eagles won the Washington School “Soup-er Bowl”, with 159 (votes) cans of soup.  In total, the school raised 230 cans that were then donated to the Connecticut Farms Presbyterian Food Bank.
