UNION, NJ – The main meeting room in Union’s Town Hall has some new artwork on display – transforming it into a “Rhythm & the Beat” themed art gallery.

On display is a collection of fine prints and educational materials on loan from the Newark Pubic Library.  The prints are by Jose Alicea from the 70’s and early 80’s. They were part of the Library’s 2016 Hispanic Heritage celebration of the same theme that was made possible in part by funds from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, Department of State, a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts and by a grant from the Friends of the Hispanic Research and Information Center.

The exhibit is open now through Oct. 11 and available for viewing during regular building hours and during the Township’s Hispanic Heritage Celebration on Saturday, Sept. 30
