UNION, NJ – Union residents are now able to download the new UnionTV34 App on the Amazon Fire TV Stick to stream events, news shows, and all the programming the channel has to offer.

“I noticed a trend that has been evolving within our community and throughout the country,” said UnionTV34 Station Manager, Sal Terrezza. “People are ‘cutting the cord’ and drifting away from cable television to use devices like the Amazon Fire TV Stick to stream their favorite TV shows. I instantly knew that this would be a great way to keep up with the trend while using another platform to promote our local meetings, events, activities, and school programming.”

The Township of Union uses various platforms such as their website, uniontownship.com; its social media accounts like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, @twpunionnj to inform its residents and neighboring communities about the latest news and events occurring in Union. The Amazon Fire TV Stick will be a new informational source the public can find easily accessible and is aesthetically pleasing.

“UnionTV34 is always finding new and innovative ways to keep the Township of Union up to date with the new technology,” stated Joseph Florio, Chairman of the Cable Advisory Committee. “I’m glad that our very own TV station is providing this new method of viewing our channel to our residents.”

The Amazon Fire TV Stick gives the freedom to experience entertainment way beyond the parameters of cable or satellite TV. The public can search and download the app as Union TV34 on the Amazon Fire TV Stick.  The UnionTV34 app has two features, the scroll ball to see the latest meetings and shows and a search feature, which gives access to over five years of UnionTV34 programming.

The Township has also announced plans to launch a new app on the Roku platform within the next few months.
