UNION, NJ - The Township issued a CodeRED message Tuesday night warning residents of the impending snow storm.  

The message, from Mayor Suzette Cavadas, read:  

"Please be advised that we are expecting our second nor'easter in less than a week with estimated snow fall of 6-10 inches.  The Governor has issued a state of emergency beginning at 8:00 p.m. this evening.  Please avoid travel as much as possible."

"Please help our Department of Public Works by getting vehicles off the streets whenever possible.  There are municipal parking lots available for parking at various locations.  A list can be found on the Township's website."

"As of now, the regular recycling schedule will be followed for Wednesday.  Please avoid travel and stay safe.  Thank you for your cooperation."
