UNION, NJ – The Township of Union will be hosting its Second Annual Earth Day Celebration, featuring a day-long series of events to entertain and educate and activities to “keep Union clean”, on Saturday, April 21.

The event will feature:

- A Waterway cleanup - Check-in at the Township of Union Department of Public Works (1 Swanstrom Place), beginning at 9:00 a.m. followed by "Touch-A-Truck” tours. Clean-up begins at 10:00 a.m., supplies will be provided.  Bring your own rubber boots.

- A seedling giveaway (a variety of shade tree seedlings) and planting demonstration, beginning at 12:00 p.m.

- A guest appearance by Curby the Recycling Robot, courtesy of the County of Union’s Bureau of Recycling and Planning from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.

-Tours of the Community Garden - 822 Liberty Ave, Union, NJ, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.

All are welcome and there will be activities for all age groups.  All activities are free of charge to attend, however, pre-registration for the Waterway Cleanup is required. Register today at www.UnionTownship.com.
