UNION, NJ – A new hallway display promoting kindness is now enhancing the corridors of Battle Hill School in recognition of School Violence Awareness week.

Battle Hill teachers Francesca Minnoia and Alison Brehm worked together to create the newest addition and staff members participated by lending a “hand” and making their mark on the piece with their handprint.

Brehm said students are encouraged to put the “I” in kindness each and every day.

In January 2002, New Jersey passed a law designating the third week of October each year as "School Violence Awareness Week".
