UNION, NJ - Battle Hill School third and fourth grade students raised money during February for the American Heart Association in memory of Christopher Kiser.

Kiser was the son of longtime and much beloved Battle Hill School teacher Donna Kiser.  He died last year due to a heart related issue. Mrs. Kiser retired from full-time teaching, but she is currently a daily substitute teacher at Battle Hill School.

The fourth grade students also competed in a handball tournament, called “Handball 4 Heart”. The day was filled with friendly competition and fun all around. The third and fourth grade students raised $2,171 for The American Heart Association.
