UNION, NJ – Battle Hill Elementary School held their Career Day on March 8, with police officers, fire fighters, nurses and many others sharing information about the careers.
At the yearly event, students dressed up as their favorite career person and visited the gym throughout the day to learn about all of the careers that were represented. “This event is incorporated with career day lessons that I conduct in the classrooms, leading up to Career Day,” said Battle Hill School Counselor Ingrid Soares.
Students learned about the job description of each career as well as what education/trade school is needed in order to go into the specific career. “The students and volunteers had a great day,” added Soares.
