UNION, NJ – Connecticut Farms School’s fourth-grade Student Council members completed a community service project to help celebrate Kindness Month during February.

Student Council members sold kindness candy grams to staff and students and donated the proceeds to the Union Animal Shelter, said school counselor and student council co-advisor Jennifer Parkhurst.  The candy grams included a piece of Valentine candy and a kind note that was sent to a friend.

The Student Council donated a $240 PetSmart gift card to the shelter for the purchase of necessary supplies for the animals.  Fourth-grade grade Student Council President Ved Shah said, "it was really fun being able to do something kind for the community as a student at Connecticut Farms School."
