HILLSIDE, NJ – An armed carjacking that resulted in a kidnapping and robbery took place on Avy Street in Hillside this week.
According to Union County Prosecutor Michael A. Monahan and Hillside Police Department Capt. Lashonda Burgess, two suspects, brandishing handguns, carjacked a Hillside man, then allegedly transported the victim to local banks in the area, where they ordered him to withdraw sums of cash.
The victim was located in Irvington Thursday morning, suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.
