More than 150 New Jersey wines will be featured this weekend at the annual outdoor Pour Into Summer Wine Festival, held for the first time this year in Berkeley Heights.

“It’s an opportunity for us to celebrate all the amazing things that are happening in New Jersey wines,” said event organizer Kathy Bullock, who grew up in the area and is thrilled to be bringing the festival there.

Attendees over 21 will be able to taste and purchase wines from Auburn Road Vineyards, Cedar Rose Vineyards, DiMatteo Vineyards, Four Sisters Winery, Plagidos Winery, Terra Nonno Winery, Villa Milagro Winery, Villari Vineyards and Wagonhouse Winery.

The family-friendly event June 8 and 9 will also feature live bands, artisan crafters and food trucks, including The Flying Pie Guy (native Australian specialties), Guac Spot, Pure & Simple Flatbreads, Cajun Jax BBQ, Ms. Fu’s Yummy Food Truck and Waffle de Lys.

The food trucks were chosen carefully to go with New Jersey wines and provide an exciting culinary experience, according to Bullock.

“We’re very thoughtful about who we bring and why we bring them,” Bullock said.

And while the wine tasting is strictly for adults, kids at the festival can enjoy a moon bounce, arts and crafts, sand art and lawn games — some free and some at an additional cost.

Entertainment will include bands Zaire and Mario & The Slyders.

“It’s really a nice day,” Bullock said. “It’s a lot of fun. It’s very laid back. It’s very chill. What a great way to kick off the summer season.”
