UNION, NJ - The Union Animal Shelter has a new resident -- they named him Tanner (the shelter does not know his former name).

Tanner arrived a couple of weeks ago and he is still getting used to his new environment.  According to a social media post from the Union Animal Shelter, Tanner, who "is finding himself with no home and no family to call his own," shows a whole lot of resilience. "As you can see in the photo, there is still a whole lot of happiness in those bright eyes of his."

Tanner is very easy to walk and gentle to take his treats, according to the Animal Shelter.  He also knows a few commands.  He seems to be friendly with other dogs..   The Shelter estimates he is around six years old.
