UNION, NJ – Union firefighters responded to a home on Stanley Terrace at just after 12:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
According to Union Fire Chief Mike Scanio, first arriving companies found heavy fire coming from a second floor bedroom. A search of the house was conducted. All occupants made it out to safety.
Scanio said an aggressive interior attack by firefighters prevented the home from sustaining major damage. The fire is under investigation but does not seem suspicious at this time. No firefighters were injured and the fire was brought under control in about 30 minutes.
