UNION, NJ – Three juveniles, ranging in age from 14 to 17, were arrested by Union police early Tuesday morning in a van stolen from Westfield.

Police say that around 3:15 a.m. Tuesday, Union police observed a white Honda Odyssey make an improper left turn onto Vauxhall Road East after exiting the Garden State Parkway service area.

Officers activated their overhead lights to conduct a motor vehicle stop and pulled the vehicle over.  According to police, as the officers pulled up, the Odyssey accelerated, swerved left and headed east on Vauxhall Road.  As officers pursued the vehicle, it became partially disabled after striking a curb on Vauxhall Road.  It traveled a short distance more before striking the side of the Salem Chiropractic building at 1042 Salem Road.  The vehicle ultimately came to a full stop in the rear lot of the building.

Westfield police confirmed the van was stolen earlier in the evening from Westfield.  Three juveniles, ranging in age from 14 to 17, were arrested.
