UNION, NJ – An application for a religious organization’s move to a building on Burnet Avenue was approved by the Union Board of Adjustment Wednesday night.
Holy Ghost Christian Center will be moving into the property at 1323 Burnet Avenue. Board members found the application to be a “good use of an existing facility, with no impact to the residential area.”
The applicant came before the Board of Adjustment previously, but was approved at Wednesday’s meeting. “I believe it was a clean, well-done application,” said Board of Adjustment Chairman Richard Galante. “It will be a nice use for the area.”
An issue regarding six 15-passenger vans arose at the meeting, but it was noted the vans will be parked in the back lot of the building when not in use. However, Board attorney Robert Pansulla said there will be a “condition of follow up to ensure the vans will be stored in an area that doesn’t impose any potential visual impact to any of the residents.”
The application was approved unanimously.
