UNION, NJ – In a homebound signing event, Union High School senior swimmer Samuel Madriz has committed to attend Regis College.

About moving on to college, Madriz said, “leaving Union High School will be sad.  I’ve been in Union since Pre-K and leaving this great town will surely be hard, but that’s how you grow as an individual.”

Madriz said he chose Regis College because of the small class size and the sports.  “I also got along with the coach pretty much instantly, so that was also nice.”  He said he’s most excited for the experience of living alone and managing himself.  “College is more free and you get more opportunities so that excites me a lot.”
