UNION, NJ – Union High School volleyball player and senior Andres Amador will be attending New Jersey City University (NJCU) in the fall to study biology.

Leaving Union High School will be very difficult, Amador said.  “I feel as though I have made great and amazing bonds with other students as well as staff. I will miss staying after school for the girls volleyball games, and my swim and volleyball seasons.”

Amador said he picked NJCU because it is close to home and because of how diverse it is. “It gives me a sense of home because Union is a very diverse city. I also chose NJCU because of its great volleyball team, and academics.”

Amador said the most exciting thing about his upcoming season is that he gets to see volleyball every day.  “No matter what happens on and off the court, volleyball is one of my happy places and I never get tired of it.”

Amador sees his future as a NJCU graduate, working a great job, “and of course playing volleyball no matter what.”
