MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ — Watchung Stable will be closed to the public for the next three weeks after one of its a horses tested positive to the EHM infection, according to Union County, which owns and operates the stable inside of Watchung Reservation.

The virus does not affect humans and other domestic animals, with the exception of llamas and alpacas, according to the county.

The sick horse will be quarantined and the others monitored, and the stables are expected to re-open around April 5, the county said.
