CEDAR GROVE, NJ - Senior Joe Rufo scored 17 points to lead Cedar Grove to a 50-44 victory over North Start at home on Tuesday.

The Panthers started off strong scoring 14 points in the first period and only allowing North Star four points.  Cedar Grove continued that effort in the second and ended the half up 22-7.

North Star came out hot in the second half outscoring the Panthers by four points in the third and by five in the second, but it was too little too late.

Mike Pronesti added 13 points to the Panthers total, and Chris Wynne tacked on 7.

The win improves the Panthers to 5-6.  They travel to Montclair Kimberly Academy on Saturday at 1 p.m.
