VERONA, NJ – Verona defeated Oratory Prep 53-36 at home on Tuesday.

Oratory had the lead after the first quarter outscoring Verona 15-13, but Verona answered back in the second quarter and ended the half with a one point advantage.  The Hillbillies took charge in the second half outscoring Oratory 31-15 to clinch the win.

Travis Jocelyn had 15 points and five boards for Verona, while Jack Farrell and Zack Zaccone each tacked on 10 points in the win.

Brendan Lawlor led for Oratory with 11 points.

Verona travels to Bernards today at 4 p.m. and hosts Saddle Brook in the first round of the NJSIAA North 1, Group 1 tournament at 4 p.m. on Monday.
