CEDAR GROVE, NJ – Eagle Scout Nicholas Mossey, representing the Cedar Grove Boy Scouts Troop 65, presented a memorial honoring all who protect and serve the community.

The memorial, a restored antique gas pump displaying the Thin Blue Line Flag, will be displayed for all to see in the lobby of the Municipal building. Mossey held a small dedication ceremony at Town Hall honoring the Cedar Grove Police and Fire Departments.

In addition, as a special tribute, the gas pump displays a plaque honoring the late Lt. William “Bill” Fearon. Lt. Fearon, a New Jersey State Trooper and member of the Cedar Grove community, passed away late last year after a hard fought battle with cancer.

Present at the ceremony were officers from the Cedar Grove Police and Fire Departments, New Jersey State Police, Cedar Grove Mayor Peter Tanella and Janice Fearon.  Mossey’s friends and family also attended the ceremony.
