July 3, 2017- July 9, 2017

On July 3, 2017 at 7:06 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a vehicle for speeding along Ozone Avenue. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 19 year old mal operator out of Verona for possession of a false government document (PA driver’s license). He was arrested, processed and released with summons to appear in Superior Court.

On July 6, 2017 at 12:16 a.m., Ptl. Christopher Lynch responded to the area of Lindsley Road and Center Avenue on a report of a person shooting a pellet gun off a front porch. The reporting party stated that the pellets were ricocheting off a tree and came close to striking a family member. Officers located the person responsible, a 65 year old male out of Cedar Grove. He was subsequently arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. He was processed and transported to the county jail.

On July 6, 2017 at 10:40 a.m., Ptl. Christopher Heck stopped a motor vehicle for an equipment violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 38 year operator out of Roselle Park for driving with a suspended license. He was arrested processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.

On July 8, 2017 at 2:08 a.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner on Little Falls Road. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 32 year old male operator out of Little Falls for driving while intoxicated. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.

On July 9, 2017 at 2:29 a.m., Ptl. Kyle Vergano stopped a vehicle being operated with an expired registration. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 53 year old operator out of Livingston. He was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.

On May 4, 2018 at 2:58 p.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle for not having an inspection decal and an obstructed windshield. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 28 year old male operator from Paterson for driving with a suspended license and having a suspended registration. His vehicle was impounded and he was released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
